Communications Coordinator (part-time)

Mission

• The mission of the Communication Coordinator is to invite people into what God is doing at LCC by leveraging email funnels, blogs, and stories to provide compelling resources to those wishing to engage with our church.

Responsibilities

Email Communication

• Write and build the weekly email newsletter with clarity, warmth, and strong calls-to-action.
• Create additional emails as assigned to support events, initiatives, and ministry moments.

Blog Writing & Message Content

• Craft weekly blog posts using message content and direction provided by the LCC Pastoral Teaching Team.
• Edit and format content for easy reading and consistency with LCC’s voice.

Event Copy & Promotions

• Write copy for events and church initiatives so the Communications team can advertise clearly and effectively in support of ministry goals.

Sunday & Event Programming Support

• Work weekly with the Production Director to ensure Sunday mornings and events have appropriate programming content.

Volunteer Leadership Support

• Onboard new volunteer leaders with a strong sense of hospitality and follow-through.
• Keep up with volunteer leaders personally through consistent communication, updates, and care.
• Schedule volunteers and support administrative needs that help teams stay healthy and equipped.

Story Coordination

• Work with Ministry Leads to gather and help coordinate stories to be captured and shared (communication, scheduling, and follow-up).

Competencies

• Strong project manager and self-starter who takes initiative with new projects.
• Strong collaborator who enjoys teamwork and welcomes the opportunity to bring volunteer leaders into projects and hand off responsibility.
• Highly organized with strong communication skills.
• Comfortable with project management software like Monday, ClickUp, Airtable, etc.
• Strong writing and editing skills with an ability to communicate clearly and consistently.
• Warm, people-first communicator with hospitality instincts and reliable follow-through.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $1.00 per year
