Communications Intern

Job Description

Phison is seeking a Communications Intern to support the US Communications team’s PR and social media efforts. This internship is ideal for a recent graduate or early-career candidate interested in media relations, strategic communications, social media and content development in the technology sector.

Working under the Communications team, this role will support activities including media and industry research, news monitoring, media list building, writing support, coverage tracking and coordination for key PR programs as well as hands-on experience supporting thought leadership, awards, speaking opportunities, media outreach and event-related communications. This role will also support social media activities for copywriting, social graphic designs, engagement and monitoring, and social campaign ideation.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor daily news and industry trends across AI, enterprise storage, semiconductors and related technology markets.
  • Track media coverage, assist with compiling coverage reports including collection.
  • Help build, maintain and update media lists.
  • Researching award opportunities, researching speaking opportunities, help maintain award and speaking trackers.
  • Assist with writing projects such as pitches, developing background material for briefing docs.
  • Support PR programs tied to launches, executive visibility opportunities, events and ongoing proactive outreach.
  • Assist with administrative and project coordination tasks that support the broader Communications and Corporate Marketing team.
  • Assist with corporate social media account copywriting, monitoring and engagement, graphic designs and support social campaign ideation.

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, English or a related field.
  • Strong writing, editing and proofreading skills, AP-style experience.
  • Experience with writing assignments, student publications, internships, agency work or other professional or academic writing projects preferred.
  • Excellent research, organizational and time-management skills.
  • Interest in public relations, media relations and B2B technology communications.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Intermediate proficiency in Canva or Adobe Creative Suite.

Location & Work Hours

  • Please note: Only candidates currently residing in the approved states listed below will be considered for this position.
  • Full in-office or hybrid work is available for candidates in California and Colorado located within a commutable distance to our offices. Fully remote work is permitted for candidates residing outside of a commutable radius within these states.
  • Fully remote work is available for candidates in the following states: Idaho, Indiana, Oregon, Texas, and Washington.
  • All remote candidates must be available to work hours that align with Pacific Standard Time (PST).

Compensation & Duration

  • Salary Range: $25 – $30 per hour
  • Duration: Potential for intern-to-hire

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
