Creative Content & Wellness Intern Paid Internship | Stipend: $500/month | Summer 2025 (June–August) Huntersville / Charlotte Metro Area, NC
Position Overview
Are you a creative visionary who believes art can heal? Do you live for authentic storytelling, love connecting people, and want your content to actually mean something? If you're nodding yes - we need you.
We are a behavioral health and wellness agency based in the Huntersville/Charlotte area on a mission to make healing visible, accessible, and culturally resonant. We're launching a bold summer initiative: a creative wellness challenge built around art, expression, and community. We're looking for a Content Creator Intern to help us bring it to life.
This isn't your typical internship. You'll co-create content alongside our founder, curate immersive community experiences, and help build a movement for people navigating invisible trauma; the kind that doesn't leave physical marks but shapes everything. Think emotional wounds, complex trauma, and the healing power of creative release. Your work will be real, seen, and impactful.
What You'll Do
Content Creation & Social Media
- Co-create and produce engaging short-form content (Reels, TikToks, Stories) that feels raw, real, and relatable...not polished and corporate
- Draft captions, scripts, and copy that strike a balance between vulnerability and empowerment
- Monitor engagement, track performance metrics, and help refine our content strategy based on what's actually resonating
Community Building & Partnerships
- Identify and reach out to local and digital artists, painters, photographers, muralists, digital creators, mixed media artists to build collaborative partnerships
- Help develop and pitch joint content, pop-up events, and creative collaborations that align with our wellness mission
- Research and apply for art residencies, gallery features, museum exhibition opportunities, and community showcases on our behalf
The Summer Challenge
- Help curate surprise creative outings and experiences; weekend pop-ups, community art sessions, outdoor installations that become part of our challenge campaign
- Document these experiences in real-time through photo, video, and storytelling to fuel ongoing content
- Help design the challenge concept, branding, and call-to-action so it spreads organically and invites community participation
What We're Looking For
- Strong visual storytelling instincts; you know how to make content feel human and real, not staged
- Active and knowledgeable presence on TikTok and/or Instagram with an eye for what makes content go viral
- Passion for mental health, wellness, or social impact
- Experience with video editing (CapCut, Adobe Premiere, or similar), graphic design, or photography is a big plus
- Strong written communication skills; you can write a caption that stops the scroll
- Self-starter energy: you're comfortable taking ownership and running with ideas
- Located in or near the Huntersville/Charlotte metro area (some in-person presence required for events and outings)
- Currently enrolled in or recently completed a program in communications, marketing, digital media, fine arts, psychology, or a related field or equivalent creative experience
What You'll Get
- $500 monthly stipend for the duration of the internship
- A real creative partnership you'll co-create, not just execute tasks
- Portfolio-worthy content, community connections, and a genuine impact story to tell
- Access to local art communities, wellness events, and creative experiences
- Mentorship from a founder deeply invested in your growth
- A cause worth showing up for
If you're ready to use your creative gifts to help people feel seen, heard, and less alone—we'd love to meet you. Apply with your resume, a link to your social media or portfolio, and a few sentences on why this role speaks to you.
