Mid-Minnesota Legal Aid is offering a paid, semester-long internship with our Communications team.

Gain hands-on experience as a digital and social media intern:

Create and write social media content
-
Gather visual assets (photos, video clips)
-
Caption video clips for accessibility and translation
-
Design graphics using Canva
-
Post content on social media platforms
-
Maintain the Social Media Calendar
-
Summarize analytics
-
Upload videos to YouTube and website
-
Engage with and monitor comments
-
Draft and follow SOPs
-
Use Microsoft 365 tools
-
Post day-to-day social media content
-
Gather visual assets (photos and video)
-
Produce and edit video clips with captions
-
Ensure accessibility (alt text, translated content)
-
Maintain social media calendar
-
Monitor comments
Additional Duties (as time allows):

Summarize analytics

Post to website and upload video content

Assist with webinars
-
Undergraduate, recent graduate, or graduate student

Ability to work collaboratively and independently

Strong social awareness and understanding of our justice mission

Second language skills: Spanish, Somali, Hmong, ASL

Experience in social, legal justice, or news organizations

Proficiency with Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Experience with video editing and Canva

Knowledge of SEO and Google Analytics
Hybrid position: 2 days in-office, with fieldwork for content gathering

$23/hour
-
20 hours/week, Monday–Thursday
