Communications Specialist

ABOUT Kijamii:

Kijamii is an independent, award-winning advertising agency driven by innovation and culture, with a rich legacy of over 14 years, operating regionally with offices in Dubai, Cairo and Riyadh.


JOB PURPOSE:

We're looking for a skilled storyteller and coordinator who will plan, craft, and deliver internal and external communications that amplify Kijamii’s brand, culture, and work. The role manages day-to-day content across owned channels, prepares press and media materials, and ensures consistent brand messaging across all touchpoints. It requires excellent communication skills, strong organization, and the ability to balance strategy with execution to keep Kijamii’s voice sharp, clear, and resonant.


RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS:

Internal Communications:

  • Own the internal comms calendar and rhythms across offices.
  • Create and manage content for internal channels, including the agency’s intranet, and announcements.
  • Partner with People & Culture to capture and communicate internal initiatives & events.

External Communications:

  • Develop high-quality written and visual content for the agency’s owned channels, ensuring consistency with the agency's brand guidelines and voice.
  • Build and run an editorial calendar that spotlights our work, capabilities, and people.
  • Craft and package press releases, award entries, and thought leadership pieces.
  • Maintain the agency’s website, keeping the content current. Brief updates, publish content, and coordinate with development partners.


JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

Education

Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field.

Experience

1-3 years of communications experience in an agency or brand environment across the MENA region.

Skills

  • A strong writing portfolio across formats: press, social, long-form, short-form, and leadership notes.
  • Proven social channel management and basic analytics literacy.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in basic content creation.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively across different teams and levels within the organization.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.

Bonus Points:

  • Experience with basic video editing.
  • Experience with email marketing.
  • Experience with content management systems (CMS) such as WordPress.
