Community and Social Services for Highschool

Pensacola, United States

Program Manager, Service-Project
General Statement

High school is the ideal time for teens to learn how to lead their own lives with purpose and responsibility. Chain Reaction (CR) is a Teen Leadership Institute that empowers students from Escambia and Santa Rosa counties to learn, grow, and give back through service. Each afternoon, CR teens—ages 14–18—step into a vibrant, high-energy environment where learning happens through teamwork, laughter, and hands-on service projects that meet real community needs.

CR serves two distinct but connected groups who grow side by side. Our traditional CR teensoften come from stable homes and strong schools. At CR, they put lessons into action, gaining real-world experience and responsibility that you can’t learn from a textbook. As many of our teens say, “You get to practice adulting.”

Our ECT-funded teens are considered at-risk and often face barriers such as low GPAs, limited support systems, or financial challenges. For them, CR offers structure, accountability, and belonging—a space to build confidence, set goals, and discover that their choices matter. Together, these groups create an authentic peer-learning environment where every teen has the chance to lead, reflect, and grow.

Position Purpose

The Program Manager plays a key role in bringing Chain Reaction’s mission to life. This position oversees the day-to-day implementation of our Service-Project and Leadership Program—ensuring every session is safe, fun, and empowering while staying true to our proven curriculum.

Working alongside a passionate team, the Program Manager helps teens connect who they are with what they do—turning service experiences into opportunities for self-discovery, confidence, and growth. They balance structure with creativity, manage both traditional and ECT cohorts, and help foster an inclusive, high-energy environment where teens can thrive.

Applicants should bring a positive, outgoing attitude, strong organizational and communication skills, and a genuine passion for service, leadership, and youth development. The ideal candidate is a natural encourager who thrives in fast-paced, people-centered environments and believes learning should be engaging, purposeful, and fun.
