Community Association Accountant

Location: Rise Corporate Office – Houston, TX
Employment Status: Full-Time


Position Overview

At Rise Association Management Group, we're passionate about supporting thriving communities - and that begins with a strong financial foundation. We are looking for a detail-oriented Community Association Accountant who shares our core values and enjoys helping clients and teammates succeed. In this role, you'll ensure the timely production of accurate financial statements for our community associations, while serving as a trusted resource for financial guidance across our internal teams.

You'll bring strong accounting knowledge, excellent communication skills, and a team-first mindset to a dynamic environment where priorities shift and excellence is expected. Key Responsibilities

  • Perform daily bank reconciliations and record transactions in the ledger.

  • Prepare and post journal entries.

  • Maintain and update prepaid schedules.

  • Assist the Accounts Payable team as needed.

  • Manage payment applications and transfers.

  • Support month-end close and reporting processes.

  • Collaborate with internal teams to provide financial guidance to clients.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or 2+ years of accounting experience (community association or property management experience preferred).

  • Proficiency in bank reconciliations, journal entries, accounts payable, and month-end reporting.

  • Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.


Compensation & Benefits

  • Pay Range:$55,000 – $63,000 annually, based on experience.

  • Benefits Package:
    • 20 days PTO per year + 11 paid holidays
