Community-Based Youth Support Specialist (CLS) – Part-Time with Growth Opportunity

Cornerstone Family Resource Center is seeking a Community Living Supports (CLS) Provider to support youth with emotional and behavioral challenges in the Arcola, Pearland, Manvel, and Alvin areas.

This role begins with an active client (~5 hours/week) and includes paid outreach time to help you build your own caseload and grow your hours over time.

Position Overview:

- Start with ~5 hours/week (direct client services)

- Additional paid outreach hours available

- Opportunity to grow to 15–25+ hours/week as caseload increases

- Flexible, community-based work

Compensation:

- $35.00/hour – Direct CLS services

- $22.00/hour – Outreach and approved non-billable activities

Responsibilities:

Direct Client Services:

- Provide one-on-one support in community settings (home, park, outings)

- Support youth in emotional regulation, communication, social skills, and daily living skills

Community Outreach & Engagement:

- Engage families at apartments, libraries, and community events

- Share information about services for youth with behavioral needs

- Assist families in connecting with local mental health authorities for eligibility

- Outreach includes engaging families in community settings, initiating conversations, and assisting with initial connection to services

Minimum Qualifications (Required – No Exceptions):

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, Sociology, Education, Human Services, or a closely related field

- Candidates without a qualifying degree will not be considered

Additional Requirements:

- Experience working with youth with emotional or behavioral challenges (preferred)

- Experience working with adolescent males or ability to build strong rapport with youth requiring structured support is strongly preferred

- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (required)

- Ability to pass background check

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to work independently in community settings
