Community Development Assistant
Job Summary
The Community Development Assistant provides administrative support to ensure the success of ConnectLife’s and the Kidney Foundation of WNY’s community outreach, education, and engagement initiatives. This role supports day-to-day department functions, assists with event coordination and volunteer activities, scheduling and communications, and helps maintain accurate records and reports.
Location: ConnectLife Headquarters at 4444 Bryant and Stratton Way, Williamsville, NY 14221
Schedule:
Full time, 40hrs per week, 8:00am-4:30pm or 7:30am-4pm.
Pay:
Non-Exempt
$16.00/hr-$18.00/hr
Pay will commensurate with relevant qualifications, skills, and experience.
Education Requirements:

High school diploma required.

Associates degree of higher preferred.
Experience:
-
One year of office/administrative experience required.

Experience supporting events, volunteers, or community outreach programs preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills required, including communicating with diverse individuals.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office and data entry.

Must be organized and detail oriented with the ability to remain accurate while under pressure.

Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to manage, prioritize, and multi-task.

Must be able to think logically, analyze and manage large amounts of data.

Experience working in a collaborative environment strongly preferred.

Must be self-motivated and reliable with a continuous focus on customer service.

Must have a professional appearance and demeanor.

Must have a valid NYS driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Required Physical Demands:
Occasional standing, walking, bending, grasping, squatting, and kneeling.- Frequent sitting. Occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to 25 lbs.
- Occasional reaching forward, lateral, and overhead.
- Continuous receiving detailed information through written, electronic, and oral communication.
- Frequent clarity of vision at near and/or far distances. Occasional driving a vehicle
Essential Job Functions:

Telephone coverage- screen calls, take messages, and distribute in a timely and appropriate manner. Process donations by phone.

Support the Department through the organization of meetings and tours, placing catering orders, etc.

Fulfill requests for informational materials for internal and external associates.

Assist with CRM data entry, website and general interest information forms.

Assist with event logistics including registrations, materials preparation, and follow-up communications.

Order and maintain office and event/outreach supplies.

Assist with monthly expense reports.

Assist with the maintenance and organization of marketing materials and incentive inventory for the department.

Assist with mailings for external constituents.

Maintain all WNY community calendars with upcoming blood drives, community events, fundraisers, etc.

Take meeting minutes for relevant department meetings and prepare for review.
