Community Grounds & Maintenance Coordinator

We are seeking a dependable and versatile Community Grounds & Maintenance Coordinator to support the maintenance and appearance of a 96-home garden home community in Arlington, Texas.

This contract role combines landscape maintenance, seasonal cleanup, light property maintenance, irrigation support, and general common-area upkeep. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, reliable, and comfortable working independently outdoors year-round.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Mowing, edging, weed eating, and blowing common areas
  • Seasonal leaf cleanup and flower bed maintenance
  • Pulling weeds and applying mulch in common areas
  • Basic sprinkler maintenance and replacing sprinkler heads
  • Monitoring irrigation operation and reporting larger repairs
  • General property cleanup and appearance maintenance
  • Minor repair work such as fence picket replacement and small maintenance items
  • Assisting with community beautification projects
  • Reporting maintenance concerns, hazards, or vandalism to the HOA Board
  • Assisting with seasonal projects and operational support as needed

Seasonal Work Schedule

Spring: Primary Focus: Landscape recovery and growth management
Typical Activities: Mulch installation, weed control, irrigation startup, mowing, edging, flower installation, and seasonal cleanup

Summer: Primary Focus: Turf and irrigation maintenance
Typical Activities: Mowing, edging, weed control, irrigation monitoring, and overall appearance maintenance

Fall: Primary Focus: Leaf management and property cleanup
Typical Activities: Heavy leaf cleanup, pruning, bed cleanup, debris removal, and irrigation adjustments

Winter: Primary Focus: Property maintenance and dormant-season work
Typical Activities: Cleanup, inspections, drainage management, dormant pruning, irrigation winterization, and community project work

Typical Work Schedule

  • Full-time position
  • Monday through Friday
  • Occasional weekend work during seasonal demand or community projects
  • Schedule flexibility based on weather and seasonal conditions
  • Outdoor physical work required throughout the year
  • HOA may provide equipment, tools, and materials

Preferred Qualifications

  • Landscaping or grounds maintenance experience
  • Basic irrigation knowledge
  • General handyman or property maintenance experience preferred
  • Ability to work independently and manage tasks without close supervision
  • Reliable transportation
  • Dependable work ethic and strong communication skills

Compensation

Compensation based on experience and qualifications.

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
