I. Primary Function: At MiraSol Health, the Community Liaison develops and maintains working relationships with referral sources and professional community contacts to increase access to hospice and palliative care. The Community Liaison is the overall education of the physicians, health care providers and the public about the services MiraSol Health provides. This position requires a current conceptual knowledge of hospice and palliative philosophies and the changes and trends in those industries. Continuing education is a vital component of this position's continued success.
II. Qualifications:
a. Associates Degree or Bachelors Degree in public relations, marketing or other related field is preferred. An acceptable combination of experience and/or training may be considered in lieu of formal education.
b. Minimum of 5 years experience in sales and referral/business development
c. Proven, consistent, and measurable track record of success in finding, signing, and growing business.
d. Outside sales experience a must
III. Physical Demands:
Work requires the physical demands of frequent sitting, written and verbal communication; occasional bending/squatting, reaching above shoulder level, crouching/kneeling, opening and closing file drawers, lifting/carrying and fine manipulation when working with computer and telephone. Essential sensory requirements are visual acuity, touch, and hearing.

IV. Job Specific Duties
a. Identify new referral sources utilizing available resources and his/her community contacts.
b. Work with Senior Leadership team to develop, implement and evaluate quarterly territory plans to achieve goals and to implement strategies and actions as defined by the marketing strategic plan.
c. Develop an appropriate call plan to achieve pre-established objectives. Conducts a minimum of forty (40) face-to-face sales calls and presentations each week and generates referrals by building long-term business partnerships.
d. Uses appropriate established techniques for sales calls including but not limited to: Opening, probing, needs, presentation, handling objectives, and closings. Meets targets consistently on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
f. Maintains key business accounts and builds meaningful relationships with prospective accounts. Develops and maintains positive working relationships with staff of nursing home(s), community contacts, physician offices, discharge planners, hospitals, community members, and the hospice team.
g. Collaborate closely with the intake team to ensure the needs of the patients, families, and referral sources are met in a timely manner.
h. Complete the admission intake process in the event of an emergency. Provides accurate and timely information on service to anyone inquiring
i. Offers and completes in-services and educational information on the services that MiraSol Health provides.
This position does require after hours and weekends as necessary for special events, patient family education, and community engagement.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
