About the Role

The Community Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations, financial performance, resident satisfaction, and team leadership of a luxury apartment community. This leadership role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys working with people, and has a strong background in property management and resident relations.

You will lead onsite staff, manage leasing operations, maintain strong resident relationships, ensure compliance with housing regulations, and drive operational success while delivering an outstanding resident experience.

Key Responsibilities

Property Operations & Resident Experience

  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the apartment community
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to residents, prospects, vendors, and team members
  • Conduct community tours and assist prospective residents through the leasing process
  • Handle lease renewals, move-ins, move-outs, and resident communications
  • Respond promptly and professionally to resident concerns and service requests
  • Ensure the property is maintained to luxury community standards

Leadership & Team Management

  • Supervise, coach, and develop leasing and maintenance staff.
  • Foster a collaborative, professional, and results-driven team environment.
  • Conduct staff training, performance evaluations, and ongoing coaching.
  • Ensure company policies and operational standards are consistently followed.

Financial & Administrative Management

  • Collect rent and enforce lease agreements in accordance with company policies
  • Monitor occupancy, leasing performance, and property financial goals
  • Prepare and manage lease documentation and property records
  • Coordinate with vendors and maintenance personnel to ensure timely service completion

Compliance & Safety

  • Ensure compliance with Fair Housing regulations and all applicable local, state, and federal laws
  • Maintain adherence to company policies, procedures, and safety standards

QualificationsRequired

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 1–3 years of experience managing apartment communities with 200+ units.
  • Experience supervising 2 or more employees.
  • Property management or multifamily housing experience required.
  • Knowledge of Fair Housing laws.
  • Strong leasing and sales experience with proven closing skills.
  • Excellent customer service and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Weekend availability.

Preferred

  • Experience with luxury apartment communities.
  • Experience using property management software (Onesite, Yardi, RealPage, AppFolio, Entrata, or similar).
  • Budgeting and financial reporting experience.
  • Experience increasing occupancy and resident retention.
