We're looking for someone to help us tell our story to the local community — in person and online.

Position Summary

We're hiring a Community Relations & Social Media Specialist who will serve as the face of our company at public events and drive awareness of our brand both in person and on social platforms. You’ll regularly attend community functions — including Chamber of Commerce events, ribbon cuttings, business luncheons, and networking mixers — and build relationships with decision-makers in the business community.

You’ll also visit job sites to capture photo and video content and help grow our online presence through creative and consistent posting.

Key Responsibilities

Community Engagement

• Represent Memphis Fence Company at local events and professional gatherings

• Network with business leaders, general contractors, and other stakeholders

• Build positive relationships to generate brand awareness and potential business leads

• Ensure our presence at all relevant public or industry-facing functions

Social Media Management

• Capture photo and video content from job sites and events

• Create and post engaging social media content aligned with company voice and values

• Help build a consistent brand presence across platforms like Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and TikTok

• Monitor engagement and respond to comments/messages where appropriate

Ideal Candidate Attributes

• Outgoing, confident, and comfortable in professional social settings

• Polished and professional appearance

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Self-starter who enjoys meeting new people and being on the move

• Basic photography and video capture skills (smartphone is fine)

• Familiar with social media trends and content creation best practices

Qualifications

• Prior experience in public relations, community outreach, marketing, or social media is a plus but not required

• Must have reliable transportation and be comfortable visiting local job sites and events

• Ability to work some evenings and occasional weekends for events
