Community Support Worker (CSW)

Location: Albuquerque, NM

Help People Thrive. Build Community. Love What You Do.

Do you believe that real change happens when people feel supported, heard, and connected? Are you energized by working in the community instead of sitting behind a desk all day? If so, Southwest Family Guidance Center would love to meet you.

We are currently seeking a Community Support Worker who is passionate about empowering individuals and families, navigating community resources, and making a meaningful impact every single day.

What This Role Is All About

As a Community Support Worker, you'll work directly with children, adults, and families to help them build skills, access resources, and reach personal goals. This role is hands-on, relationship-driven, and deeply rewarding.

You will:

  • Support clients in identifying goals and developing practical strategies for success
  • Connect individuals and families to community resources such as education, employment, healthcare, and social services
  • Provide advocacy and guidance to help clients overcome barriers and navigate systems
  • Collaborate with schools, healthcare providers, and community partners
  • Meet clients where they are literally and figuratively in homes, schools, and community settings
  • Promote independence, stability, and overall well-being

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (Human Services, Psychology, Social Work, or similar)
  • Experience working with diverse populations, including children and adults
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Cultural awareness, empathy, and respect for individual differences
  • Reliable transportation and ability to work in community-based settings
  • Flexibility to work occasional evenings or weekends

What We Offer

  • Flexible scheduling to support work–life balance
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • Gym membership to support wellness (with health insurance)
  • 401(k) with employer contribution
  • Paid time off, sick leave, and flexible spending accounts
  • Employee Assistance Program (EAP) because your mental health matters too

Why Southwest Family Guidance Center?

If you're ready to do work that truly matters and be part of a supportive, purpose-filled organization, we encourage you to apply today.
