The Mobility Manager will be a key member of our team, supporting regional transportation and social service coordination efforts. This full-time role involves developing and implementing mobility projects, conducting research, engaging with the public, and collaborating with local officials. The Mobility Manager will enhance transportation access for vulnerable populations, foster multi-agency partnerships, and ensure efficient, equitable, customer-centered mobility solutions that address community needs.

Role Overview

The Mobility Manager supports the Regional Coordinating Council (RCC) and the Lead Agency (Tri County Community Action Program) in developing and implementing a customer-centered approach to transportation access and coordinated human services transportation for vulnerable populations. This role involves fostering multi-agency partnerships to enhance transportation efficiency and effectiveness. The Mobility Manager will engage with state, regional, and local officials and community leaders to advocate for coordinated services. Additionally, they will collaborate with the State Coordinating Council (SCC), other Regional Mobility Managers, and the State Mobility Manager on strategic planning efforts, including regional and statewide coordinated human services plans.

Key Responsibilities

The Regional Mobility Manager develops and supports mobility projects in coordination with the Lead Agency and the Regional Coordinating Council (RCC) to expand access to transportation and social services. The role involves building and maintaining regional, cross-sector, and multi-agency partnerships that improve transportation options for vulnerable populations, as well as conducting outreach to area employers and workforce partners to promote transit programs and mobility options that support employment access. The Mobility Manager plans and coordinates outreach events, trainings, and promotional activities related to public transportation and service coordination and supports the development and implementation of innovative and nontraditional service delivery approaches to improve efficiency and effectiveness. The position also includes strengthening supportive community networks that advance coordinated transportation systems, researching funding opportunities, and assisting the Lead Agency with grant development and application materials. In addition, the Mobility Manager leads or supports special projects such as volunteer driver recruitment, service coordination pilots, and initiatives that improve the efficiency and sustainability of regional transportation services.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Knowledge of coordinated human services transportation systems, including public transit, demand-response services, volunteer driver programs, and customer-centered mobility solutions.
  • Understanding of how transportation access impacts employment, healthcare, housing, and social services, particularly for vulnerable populations.
  • Understanding of rural transportation challenges and strategies to improve access, efficiency, and sustainability.
  • Ability to build and support regional, cross-sector, and multi-agency partnerships and coordination efforts.
  • Ability to plan, support, and implement mobility projects, outreach activities, and service coordination initiatives.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to foster trust and productive working relationships.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including presentations and preparation of outreach or reporting materials.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently while remaining accountable to team goals and project timelines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and related office productivity tools.
  • Ability to support grant research and development, including gathering information and assisting with application materials.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel regularly throughout a rural, multi-county region, with flexibility to work occasional evenings or weekends.
  • Demonstrated willingness to learn and a passion for community-focused mobility planning.

Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent combination of education and experience in transportation, social services, community planning, or a related field.
  • 1–3 years of relevant experience in transportation, social services, community development, or a closely related area.

Location and Travel:

The role is based in Littleton, NH, with travel required throughout the three counties (Coös, Grafton, and Carroll) and occasional trips further south. You must be flexible; some evening and weekend work will be required to attend meetings or facilitate events. Working remotely is an option, with in-office days.
