Companies Attorney

Title: Emerging Companies Attorney Location: Multiple Locations - Austin, TX/San Francisco or Silicon Valley, CA Duration: Fulltime permanent role- Full Relocation Assistance Available - Possible for ideal candidate 1. Draft and negotiate licensing, partnering, and commercial agreements 2. Provide general intellectual property, privacy, and business/product counseling directly to clients 3. Work on and manage transactions in all stages of our clients’ businesses, from formation to financings to both buy and sell-side acquisitions and beyond. 4. They will consider strong candidates with significant experience in either (1) strategic and/or commercial contracts drafting and negotiation and/or (2) deal management of venture financing and/or M&A transactions, who are looking to expand their practice to include more holistic company counseling. They may also consider exceptional candidates with adjacent practices (e.g. intellectual property litigation in relevant industries) who are looking to re-tool into a more hands-on company-side practice. Job Requirements: a. Eagerness to work with startup and venture capital clients b. Demonstrated experience in at least one of the following: commercial contracts drafting and negotiation venture financing or M&A transactions, and/or deep involvement in intellectual property disputes c. JD 2020-2023 d. A technical degree is not required but enthusiasm for, and a willingness to learn about, emerging technology and intellectual property law is a must e. Admission to the State Bar of California or State Bar of Texas f. Superior academic credentials from a top law school and excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills

Pay: $200,000.00 - $250,000.00 per year
