Companion Care Driver / Patient Transport Specialist (Part-Time / On-Call)

Job Overview

CYC Family Care Corporation is seeking dependable, professional individuals to provide non-medical companion care and transportation services to clients transitioning from hospitals, surgical centers, or home environments.

This role is focused on ensuring clients are transported safely and supported during critical transitions, including post-discharge and post-surgical recovery. The ideal candidate is reliable, compassionate, and committed to delivering a high-quality, respectful client experience.

This is a part-time and/or on-call position with flexible scheduling based on client needs.

Qualifications

• Provide safe and timely transportation for clients to and from hospitals, surgical centers, and appointments
• Assist clients entering and exiting the vehicle safely
• Escort clients into their home or destination and ensure they are settled comfortably
• Pick up medications from pharmacy drive-thru when assigned
• Provide light, non-medical companion care support during and after transport
• Maintain a calm, professional, and respectful presence at all times
• Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines
• Maintain a clean, safe, and reliable personal vehicle
• Communicate effectively with clients and the CYC Family Care team
• Report any incidents, concerns, or changes in client condition immediately.
• REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS (NON-NEGOTIABLE)
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

EXPERIENCE (PREFERRED BUT NOT REQUIRED)

• Previous experience in:
• caregiving
• companion care
• patient transport
• customer service
• Experience working with:
• elderly clients
• post-surgical patients
• individuals needing assistance

AVAILABILITY REQUIREMENTS

• Must be available for:
• Part-time shifts
• On-call / same-day assignments (high priority)
• Preferred availability:
• Morning shifts (7:00 AM – 3:00 PM)
• Evening shifts (4:00 PM – 9:00 PM)

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to assist clients in and out of vehicles safely
• Ability to stand, walk, and move for extended periods
• Ability to lift or support light assistance as needed (non-medical)

This is a non-medical position.
Employees are not permitted to provide clinical or medical care under any circumstances.

Pay: $17.00 - $22.00 per hour
