Job Summary:

We are seeking a compassionate and caring Companion Caregiver to join our team at Comfort Touch Health Agency in Nassau County, NY. As a Companion Caregiver, you will provide emotional support and companionship to seniors in the comfort of their own homes. Responsibilities:

• Provide companionship and emotional support to seniors, engaging in activities such as conversation, reading, playing games, and watching movies

• Offer medication reminders and assist with meal preparation and light housekeeping

• Run errands and complete other tasks as needed to ensure the client's comfort and well-being

• Develop and maintain a strong rapport with clients, building trust and fostering a sense of companionship

• Maintain accurate records of client care and report any concerns or changes to supervisors

• Collaborate with other caregivers and healthcare professionals to ensure a comprehensive approach to client care

Requirements:

• 0 years of experience is preferred, but we welcome candidates with previous care giving experience or a strong desire to enter the field

• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for extended periods

• Reliable transportation is necessary, as travel to client homes will be required

• Must be willing to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed
