Job Summary
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professionals (ILST, PCA, Companions, Respite Assistant, Live-In PCA) to provide exceptional in-home care and support to clients. The ideal candidate will assist with daily living activities, ensure a safe and clean environment, and deliver personalized care tailored to individualized needs. This role is vital in promoting independence and enhancing the quality of life for seniors and individuals with disabilities within their homes and communities.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility assistance
- Prepare nutritious meals in accordance with care plans and dietary restrictions
- Perform light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and organizing to maintain a safe and comfortable environment
- Monitor patient health by observing vital signs, reporting changes, and documenting care activities in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Support medication management under supervision, including medication cueing and adherence monitoring
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment
- Assist with mobility using equipment such as wheelchairs, Hoyer lifts or other assistive devices when necessary
- Follow individualized care plans developed by healthcare professionals or social workers
- Ensure safety protocols are followed at all times, including emergency procedures like CPR or first aid, if required
Qualifications
- Must be 18 years and older and legal to work in the US.
- Excellent communication skills, able to present information in a clear manner.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and an available means of transportation.
- Prior experience working in assisted living, home health, hospice care, or long-term care settings preferred
- Knowledge of patient observation and medication cueing.
- Experience working with individuals with Acquired Brain Injuries/ Traumatic Brian Injuries, dementia (including Alzheimer’s and memory care), or other special needs
- Certifications such as CPR, first aid, HIPAA compliance are highly desirable
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary and assist with transfers using equipment like Hoyer lifts and gait belts.
- Compassionate attitude with patience for working with seniors or individuals with disabilities
- Strong organizational skills to follow care plans accurately and document appropriately

We are currently hiring for full- time, part-time and/or per-diem shifts to help cover scheduling needs and callouts. Shifts are available Sunday through Saturday.
Pay: $17.00 - $18.50 per hour
