Company Freight Dispatcher

At Lightning Lanes, we are seeking dedicated Freight Dispatchers to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating the transportation of goods, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining effective communication with drivers and customers. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Freight Dispatchers - $16.00 + Commission

Shifts:

Monday - Friday 0700 AM to 1600 PM

Duties

Utilize GIS and GPS technologies to optimize routing and ensure efficient transportation planning.

Manage transportation management systems to track shipments and monitor delivery schedules.

Collaborate with supply chain teams to facilitate logistics operations and improve overall efficiency.

Analyze data related to freight movement and delivery performance to identify areas for improvement.

Handle dispatching duties, including assigning loads to drivers and monitoring their progress.

Maintain accurate records of shipping and receiving activities using software such as SyteLine or AS400.

Provide excellent phone etiquette while communicating with drivers, customers, and vendors.

Perform data entry tasks related to transportation management and fleet operations.

Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies during dispatching processes.

Experience

Previous experience in dispatching or logistics is preferred.

Familiarity with transportation management systems such as Oracle Transportation Management is a plus.

Knowledge of shipping & receiving processes, fleet management, and 3PL operations is beneficial.

Strong analysis skills with the ability to interpret data effectively.

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for this role.
