Compassionate Caregiver- Personal Support

We are urgently seeking a dependable, patient, and compassionate caregiver to provide Personal Support and Companion Services for an adult male client with Intellectual Disability, Down syndrome, and Dementia.

About the Client: The client requires hands-on support and supervision to ensure safety, independence, and quality of life. He thrives with routine, calm communication, and consistent care.

Schedule: Wednesday & Saturday 12 hours per day

Weekdays (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday 6.5 hours per day)

Job Responsibilities:

• Assist with personal hygiene and grooming
• Support with dressing and daily routines
• Provide companionship and positive social interaction
• Assist with communication and redirection as needed
• Ensure self-protection, safety awareness, and supervision
• Assist with emergency preparedness and evacuation awareness
• Monitor well-being and report concerns
• Support community and in-home activities
• Reporting and monitoring: following a care plan and noticing any changes in the individual’s health.

What Qualifies You?!

• Experience with intellectual disabilities, Down syndrome, dementia, or similar preferred
• Reliable Transportation
• High School Diploma or G.E.D.
• State issued Driver’s License
• Background Check
• CPR Certifications
• 2 years of Experience
• APD required trainings
• Must be 21 years or older
