Masco Corporation is seeking an experienced Compensation Lead to join our Center of Excellence (CoE) at our World Headquarters in Livonia, MI. This is a critical role within our HR function, responsible for shaping and executing compensation strategies that drive business performance and support talent retention.

As a trusted advisor to business leaders and HR partners, you will design and manage programs that balance competitiveness, equity, and compliance. This includes leading initiatives across base pay, incentive structures, and pay equity, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and market trends. Your expertise will influence decisions at the highest level, making this an integral seat on the CoE team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build, evaluate, and successfully implement comprehensive compensation programs, including base salary structures and short-term incentives.
  • Lead complex projects such as market benchmarking, pay equity analyses, and organizational pay structure reviews.
  • Provide expert consultation to senior leadership and HR partners on compensation strategies, policies, and standard methodologies.
  • Conduct detailed market analysis using survey data and other sources to determine competitive compensation positioning.
  • Develop and deliver training for HR and business leaders on compensation philosophy, programs, and processes.
  • Lead compliance with all regulatory requirements related to compensation, including FLSA, pay transparency, and other relevant legislation.
  • Analyze compensation trends and proactively recommend improvements to address evolving business needs.
  • Facilitate the annual compensation review cycle, including merit increases, bonus calculations, and communications.
  • Collaborate with HRIS and analytics teams to ensure compensation data integrity and reporting accuracy.
  • Mentor and provide guidance to less experienced team members, encouraging their professional growth.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or related field; Master’s degree or CCP certification preferred.
  • 7+ years of progressive experience in compensation, with at least 2 years in a global company.
  • Deep knowledge of compensation principles, incentive structures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Strong analytical skills with advanced proficiency in Excel and compensation management systems.
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities; able to influence and advise senior leadership.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple priorities and projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with global compensation programs and practices is a plus.

Hiring Range: $103,700.00 - $163,020.00
