Description:
The Compliance Auditor is responsible for reviewing, auditing, and maintaining Department of Transportation
(DOT) Driver Qualification (DQ) files in conjunction with third party administrator to ensure full compliance with
federal, state, and company regulations. This role plays a critical part in minimizing risk, supporting safety
initiatives, and ensuring all commercial drivers meet regulatory requirements.
Duties and Responsibilities:

Liaise with Third Party Administrator, drivers, Transforce market leaders, VP of Safety and compliance team to ensure files are being submitted for approval properly.

Arrange Driver Qualification files according to specific National Account requirements for submission to customers.

Produce and maintain daily reports for department processes.

Support all Compliance Department activities.

Strict adherence to hiring process, state, local, and federal regulations and laws.

Partner with third party administrator to conduct detailed audits of DOT Driver Qualification (DQ) files to ensure compliance with FMCSA regulations (49 CFR Part 391).

In conjunction with Third Party administrator, verify accuracy and completeness of driver records, including applications, medical certificates, MVRs, road tests, and annual reviews.

Identify missing or expired documentation and communicate deficiencies to appropriate departments or personnel.

Monitor compliance deadlines (e.g., medical card expirations, license renewals, annual MVR checks).

Maintain organized and up-to-date electronic and/or physical driver files.

Generate audit reports and provide recommendations for corrective actions.

Assist with internal and external audits, including DOT compliance reviews.

Stay current with changes in DOT and FMCSA regulations and ensure company policy/procedures/practices are updated accordingly.

Collaborate with safety, HR, and operations teams to ensure driver compliance standards are met.

Support onboarding processes by reviewing new driver qualification documentation.
Requirements:
Education and Certifications:
High School Diploma Required
Associate or bachelor’s Degree Preferred
Skills and Qualifications:

Four years’ DOT Compliance experience

Working knowledge of FMCSA regulations

Skilled at working with data, reports, and compliance documentation

Microsoft Office Suite Experience

Experience utilizing an application tracking system (preferred) and other internal systems

Ability to work in high fast paced environment
Physical Requirements:

Position typically sits for extended periods of time, some lifting, bending and ability to access printers, copiers, file cabinets and operation of general office equipment required. Extended periods of use of a computer monitor, up to 90% of the time.
