Position Overview
LPT Realty is seeking a detail-oriented and service-driven Compliance Broker to join our Brokerage Operations team. This role combines the regulatory expertise of a Broker with the document review and risk mitigation focus for Compliance. The primary function of this role is compliance file review, ensuring all transactions adhere to legal, regulatory, and LPT Realty standards — while also providing meaningful support to the Managing Broker of Record as needed with agent support for the state of Arizona.
The Compliance Broker plays a critical role in maintaining brokerage integrity, protecting agents from compliance risk, and contributing to a seamless transaction experience across our agent base.
Key Responsibilities
Compliance File Review
- Conduct thorough pre-closing reviews of real estate transaction documents to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with legal and regulatory requirements
- Scrutinize all transaction documentation for adherence to established regulations and LPT Realty standards
- Proactively identify compliance risks and work with internal teams to find timely and effective resolutions
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry regulations, state real estate laws, and best practices
- Share regulatory updates and insights with the team to adapt processes as needed
- Participate in training sessions to educate agents and team members on compliance protocols
- Collaborate with the Compliance team to uphold brokerage standards and mitigate risk
Brokerage Operations Support
- Support the Managing Broker on Record with complex broker-related escalations, including contract interpretation and state-specific regulatory questions
- Assist with agent inquiries during periods of high volume or Managing Broker unavailability
- Ensure brokerage activities align with state and local real estate laws and regulations
- Partner with Agent Support, Compliance, and Transaction Operations to deliver a cohesive agent support experience
Operational Efficiency & Systems Usage
- Manage and respond to agent and team inquiries through the company ticketing system with quick turnaround times
- Utilize internal platforms including LPT Connect, SkySlope, Dotloop, and other brokerage tools
- Maintain accurate documentation and communication within all systems
- Contribute to continuous improvement of compliance processes and support workflows
Qualifications
- Active Real Estate Broker license in the applicable state or province (required); this opening will support the state of Arizona
- Proven experience in real estate compliance, pre-closing, or a closely related role
- Strong knowledge of state real estate laws, contracts, transaction processes, and compliance requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Law, Real Estate, or a related field — or equivalent working experience (preferred)
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to work accurately under pressure
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse stakeholders
- Experience with transaction management systems such as SkySlope or Dotloop (preferred)
- Proficient in technology and software applications relevant to real estate compliance
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks and competing priorities
