Job Purpose: Compliance professional is responsible for evaluating and ensuring that a company’s business processes, practices, and operations comply with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards & DOA transactions.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
Strategy Formulation
- Formulate ADG’s strategy in collaboration with the ADG Board and ensure the translation of the overall strategic direction from the board into the business plan.
- Oversee the implementation of strategies that generate resources and returns to meet commitments to all stakeholders.
Policies & Processes
- Review current policies and procedures to ensure they are up-to-date, compliant with regulations, and aligned with best practices.
- Implement the function’s policies and follow the set processes to achieve the function’s objectives.
Operational Activities
- Ensure 100% TRRs validate alignment with the latest investment policies and Delegation of Authority (DOA).
- Validate the completeness of the submitted document sets for 100% investment reviews and incorporate applicable policy references into all TRRs for investment actions.
- Conduct follow-up of the risks identified on a quarterly basis across all departments.
- Conduct compliance audits and log observations in the system on a transactional basis.
- Oversee payroll processes and ensure status of bounced cheques is updated to the CEO and VP–GRC.
- Flag transactions that violate policy within 2 working days to the relevant department as per agreed Turnaround Time (TAT).
- Support 100% of operational mystery audits by providing required compliance documentation.
- Raise and document open observations for each transaction during transactional reviews.
- Submit compliance dashboards as scheduled.
- Conduct audits for new applications as directed, and coordinate with IT for the automation of TRRs.
- Review newly developed workflows for linkages with the Chart of Accounts (COA) and identify in TRRs any processes not properly linked.
- Verify 100% of document submissions for compliance before approvals are granted.
- Complete compliance checks for projects within 2 working days in line with agreed TAT.
- Identify and recommend strategic improvements in payroll and attendance record management processes.
- Track and log 100% attendance for all required compliance and policy-related training sessions.
Risk Assessment and Management
- Identify potential risks related to business processes, financial controls, or compliance failures.
- Develop risk mitigation to design corrective actions and strategies to minimize risks.
Monitor Financial Transactions
- Develop and implement compliance programs to address new regulatory requirements or gaps identified in audits.
- Continuously monitor the business financial transactions based on current process and DOA from various departments of business. Prepare Transaction Review report and reports.
Compliance Reports
- Document compliance findings and provide clear and concise reports for management and regulatory bodies.
- Maintain accurate records of compliance reviews, and corrective actions and assist in filings and documentation.
Education Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or ACCA, CA Final.
- Professional certifications in governance, risk management, or compliance an advantage.
- Strong Experience in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Should have relevant experience accounting software like ERP, Yardi, and others.
Work Experience
- Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, preferably in Real Estate, Construction, Property Managment or similar industries.
Language Skills
- Proficiency in English and Arabic (spoken and written).
