Compliance Officer

Responsibilities

As a Compliance Officer at KuCoin TR, you will:

• Regulatory Compliance :
• Ensure adherence to Turkish cryptocurrency and financial regulations, including AML (Anti-Money Laundering) and CFT (Combating the Financing of Terrorism) requirements.
• Act as the primary liaison with Turkish regulatory authorities and government agencies.
• Monitor regulatory developments and advise management on necessary adjustments to business practices.
• Risk Management :
• Develop and implement compliance frameworks, policies, and procedures tailored to KuCoin TR’s operations in Turkey.
• Conduct risk assessments and establish controls to mitigate compliance-related risks.
• Reporting :
• Prepare and submit regulatory filings and reports as required by Turkish authorities.
• Maintain proper documentation and records to support audits and inspections.
• KYC/AML :
• Oversee Know Your Customer (KYC) processes to ensure compliance with local and international standards.
• Monitor and investigate suspicious transactions, filing reports with relevant authorities when necessary.
• Training and Awareness :
• Conduct regular compliance training for KuCoin TR employees to foster a culture of compliance.
• Keep the team informed about new regulations and compliance trends.
• Cross-functional Collaboration :
• Work closely with internal teams (legal, finance, operations) to ensure compliance is integrated across all business functions at KuCoin TR.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Education :
• Bachelor’s degree in Law, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. A master’s degree or professional certifications (e.g., CAMS, ICA) is a plus.
• Experience :
• At least 3-5 years of experience in compliance, risk management, or regulatory affairs, preferably within the financial, fintech, or cryptocurrency sector.
• Strong understanding of Turkish financial regulations, including AML/CFT laws.
• Skills :
• Excellent knowledge of cryptocurrency and blockchain technology.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with fluency in both Turkish and English.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
