IT MANAGER

Are you a hands-on IT professional who thrives in a mission-driven healthcare environment? We are seeking an experienced and motivated IT Manager to lead and support the information technology operations of our growing Critical Access Hospital located in Homerville, Georgia.

This leadership role is ideal for a technology professional who values teamwork, innovation, customer service, and making a direct impact on patient care and hospital operations.

Position Summary

The IT Manager is responsible for overseeing the hospital’s information systems, network infrastructure, cybersecurity initiatives, hardware/software support, telecommunications, and end-user support services. This individual will work closely with hospital leadership, clinical departments, and external vendors to ensure reliable, secure, and efficient technology operations across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage daily IT operations for the hospital and affiliated clinics
  • Maintain network infrastructure, servers, telecommunications, and cybersecurity systems
  • Provide leadership and support to IT staff and third-party vendors
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA, healthcare IT security standards, and regulatory requirements
  • Support Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems and clinical applications
  • Develop and implement IT policies, procedures, and disaster recovery plans
  • Coordinate system upgrades, software implementations, and technology projects
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, and connectivity issues
  • Manage IT budgets, equipment inventory, and vendor relationships
  • Provide exceptional customer service and technical support to hospital staff

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Healthcare Informatics, or related field preferred
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of progressive IT experience, preferably in healthcare
  • Previous supervisory or leadership experience strongly preferred
  • Experience supporting healthcare applications, EHR systems, and network infrastructure
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and regulatory compliance requirements
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Experience

  • Critical Access Hospital or rural healthcare experience
  • Microsoft server environments and virtualization platforms
  • Network administration and cybersecurity monitoring
  • Experience with healthcare compliance standards and data privacy regulations
