Compliance Officer ( SECP )

Job Summary

The SECP Compliance Officer will be responsible for ensuring that the company fully complies with all SECP regulations, reporting requirements, and governance standards applicable to NBFCs. This role involves close coordination with the SECP, internal departments, external auditors, and legal advisors to ensure timely submission of regulatory returns, compliance with licensing conditions, and implementation of internal control frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure timely preparation and submission of all regulatory filings, returns, and reports to the SECP (e.g., quarterly, biannual, and annual filings).
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with NBFC Regulations, Companies Act, SECP directives, Circulars, Guidelines, and other applicable legal frameworks.
  • Maintain the company’s regulatory calendar and ensure deadlines are strictly adhered to.
  • Draft and review internal compliance policies, SOPs, and regulatory documentation.
  • Liaise with SECP for all regulatory communications, responses to notices, and follow-ups.
  • Support management during SECP inspections, audits, and inquiries.
  • Monitor changes in laws, regulations, and guidelines, and advise management on required actions or policy updates.
  • Coordinate with internal and external auditors for regulatory compliance reviews.
  • Conduct internal compliance reviews and recommend corrective measures where required.
  • Maintain proper documentation and compliance records for audits and inspections.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Law, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum 2–5 years of relevant experience in regulatory compliance, preferably in NBFCs, Microfinance, or Financial Institutions.
  • In-depth knowledge of SECP NBFC regulatory framework and Companies Act, 2017.
  • Familiarity with digital lending operations, AML/CFT compliance, and regulatory reporting tools will be an advantage.
  • Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.

Preferred Skills

  • Hands-on experience with SECP’s eServices and regulatory portals.
  • Strong understanding of corporate governance and risk management practices.
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to work independently.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Rs100,000.00 - Rs120,000.00 per month
