The SSVF Compliance & Quality Assurance Specialist is responsible for ensuring the quality and compliance of all program activities under the Supportive Services for Veteran Families (SSVF) grant. This includes regular file reviews, case planning oversight, TFA and shallow subsidy approvals, HMIS data integrity checks, and providing corrective guidance to program staff. The role helps safeguard program compliance with VA regulations and organizational policies, while supporting continuous improvement in service delivery. Serving veterans across South Florida, consistent monitoring is essential to maintain compliance with VA guidelines, Council on Accreditation (COA) standards, and organizational quality benchmarks.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in social work, public administration, or a related field; or
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field with 2–3 years of direct experience in program compliance or quality assurance within human services.
- At least 2–3 years of experience in program compliance and quality assurance, within human services.
- Familiarity with SSVF guidelines, HMIS systems, and federal grant compliance strongly preferred.
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and training facilitation skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct quality assurance reviews of client files, including case planning, temporary financial assistance, and documentation.
- Perform regular HMIS data checks to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Lead and coordinate internal audits to prepare for VA and external monitoring visits.
- Ensure program practices align with Council on Accreditation (COA) standards.
- Participate in and support Performance & Quality Improvement (PQI) activities, including data tracking, outcomes measurement, and reporting.
- Identify trends, provide feedback for staff, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Deliver or support staff training on compliance, documentation, and quality standards.
- Update department policies and procedures accordingly to ensure continued compliance.
- Collaboration & Stakeholder Reporting: Partner with internal teams and external stakeholders (funders, auditors, VA representatives) to provide compliance data, respond to inquiries, and support monitoring visits or site reviews.
- Attend VA/SSVF trainings, webinars, and conferences to stay current with program regulations, HMIS updates, and compliance best practices; share knowledge and provide training to staff.
TRAVEL:
- This position requires travel to attend trainings, workshops, or professional development opportunities as assigned.
- Employees must be available to travel locally within Florida or to other locations as required by the organization.
- Travel may include day trips and/or overnight stays, depending on training location and schedule.
- All travel expenses will be covered in accordance with company policy.
This is a full-time position offering benefits such as health insurance, PTO and 401K enrollment.
Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
