Compliance & Risk Specialist

Alcott HR is seeking a ComplianceRisk Specialist to join our team. The ComplianceRisk Specialist will report directly to our General Counsel and play a key part in supporting our legal and compliance functions. The ideal candidate will have a legal background and will assist with preparing and revising a variety of documents, including correspondence and legal contracts. They will provide administrative support including email communication, coordinating meetings, and internet research as needed.

Here's what you'll do:

  • Prepare, revise, format, and finalize a wide variety of documents, including contracts, correspondence, memoranda, and legal materials. Responsible for proofreading, correctly formatting and questioning any inconsistencies in all materials.
  • Review internal and external contracts, assist with insurance renewals. Should these be in the same line?
  • Initial review of new compliance related laws and regulations, create communications internally and for clients and review with General Counsel.
  • Assist in renewals and obtainment of company registrationslicenses.
  • Assist with scheduling team meetings and corresponding with clients
  • Conducts internet research as directed by General Counsel. Interacts on a daily basis with Departments within the company to facilitate highest possible legal support to assignments and clients.
  • Establishes and maintains paper and electronic files in compliance with current policies.
  • Provide assistance to compliance department to meet client needs; organizes and prioritizes workload so as to most efficiently enable and facilitate team effort to accomplish goals.
  • Share information and offer ideas and solutions in a team environment.
  • Perform complex activities which may be highly confidential and sensitive and require discretion and diplomacy.
  • Other general administrative duties and projects as assigned.

You are someone who has:

  • 3+ years' experience in legal support, corporate experience preferred.
  • Experience reviewing compliance laws and regulations.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • High aptitude for accuracy, follow up, and attention to detail.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite

Compensation: $64,500 to $74,500 annually, commensurate with experience.
