Company Summary
BlueTeam is a US-based provider of national disaster recovery, remediation, reconstruction, renovation, and roofing services for commercial properties. Our core business focuses on cleanup and mitigation efforts for recovery from fire damage, roof leaks, flooding, pipe bursts, and post-disaster remediation due to severe weather. We exclusively serve commercial sectors including hospitality, senior housing, healthcare, commercial offices, municipalities, multifamily living, and institutional markets.
SUMMARY:
The Compliance Specialist plays a critical administrative role in ensuring vendor and subcontractor compliance for the organization. This position supports the operational team by prompt onboarding and maintenance of vendors in the operational system, maintaining compliance documentation, monitoring regulatory requirements, and ensuring accurate data tracking across key systems. The role is highly detail-oriented, supports pre-project mobilization needs, and serves as an internal compliance resource. This is a non-supervisory role.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Vendor Compliance and Onboarding

Act as the primary point of contact for vendors regarding compliance requirements.

Review vendor agreements and contracts to ensure compliance with company policies, legal standards, and industry regulations.

Identify and resolve any discrepancies or compliance issues within vendor agreements by working closely with executive leadership and outside legal counsel as required.

Ensure vendor agreements are properly uploaded and maintained within the operational system.

Ensure vendor onboarding is prioritized according to Operations’ needs and that they are timely processed within predetermined timeframes.

Vendor Insurance Compliance

Obtain, verify, and track certificates of insurance from vendors and contractors.

Ensure that all vendors maintain the appropriate types and levels of insurance coverage as established by our corporate guidelines

Work with vendors to obtain renewal certificates of insurance before lapses occur.

Identify and resolve any vendor insurance discrepancies by working closely with executive leadership.

Company Licensing and Annual Report Filing

Maintain and assist with renewal of all company licenses across all relevant states, counties, and municipalities. Update license records within current tracking system.

Apply for new company contractor licenses as requested by working collaboratively with Operations and Finance leadership.

Maintain a centralized licensing calendar and alert system for expiration dates and upcoming deadlines.

General Administrative Support
-
Assist in compliance planning and execution during CAT response events..

Assist in reviewing and updating company policies, in addition to developing compliance programs and SOPs as requested.

Monitor changes in industry regulations and update compliance procedures accordingly.

Report any non-compliance issues to management and recommend corrective actions.

Participate in special projects and initiatives as requested by leadership.

Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.
QUALIFICATIONS:

Must be a team player who is also able to work independently and adhere to BlueTeam’s core values.

Knowledge of the construction industry, insurance requirements, and/or contractor licensing processes a plus.

Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office is required, especially Excel, Outlook, and Word. Proficiency in Docusign preferred.

Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality required.

Must be collaborative and able to work with employees at all levels of the organization.

Must have the ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment on assigned tasks and responsibilities.

Must be detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy, work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment, have the flexibility to deal with multiple changing priorities and be able to also meet deadlines within determined timeframes.

Experience in providing exceptional customer service to a broad base of stakeholders with ability and interest to learn business operations.

Familiarity with OSHA and contractor licensing requirements preferred.

Comfortable working both independently and as part of a cross-functional team.

Excellent knowledge of reporting procedures and record keeping.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor’s degree in law, finance, business management or related field required.

Minimum of 3 years of in a similar role such as vendor compliance, contract management or procurement.

Certified compliance professional is a plus.
