Position: Compliance Specialist (Sales Rep)

Reports to: Sales Manager

Status: Non Exempt - Hourly ($17/hour + Commission) EST OTE $65,000-$90,000/year

Position Summary -

The Compliance Specialist is a Sales Representative position and is responsible for converting new

business orders into a monthly or annual recurring subscriber of HR compliance products and services

through high-volume outbound calling and consultative selling. This role engages business owners and

decision-makers to identify compliance needs and present WorkWise solutions, including labor law

posters and HR + Safety consulting services. This is a performance-driven role focused on activity,

conversion, and revenue generation.

  • Consistently meets or exceeds daily call and sales targets
  • Effectively communicates compliance risks and solutions in a clear, professional manner
  • Converts leads into customers through a consultative, needs-based approach
  • Maintains accurate records and pipeline activity in CRM

Essential Responsibilities

Outbound Call Sales Execution

  • Conduct an average of 150 high-volume warm outbound calls to customers in attempt to

upgrade, cross-sell or renew services in a one-call close environment

  • Identify decision-makers and assess HR compliance needs
  • Present WorkWise products and services with confidence and accuracy
  • Close sales and achieve individual revenue targets and KPIs

Consultative Selling

  • Educate prospects and customers on labor law compliance requirements and risks
  • Position WorkWise products and services as essential tools for risk mitigation and staying

compliant

  • Handle objections effectively and build trust with clients
  • Ensure 100% customer satisfaction on every interaction and promote positive reviews

Pipeline & CRM Management

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all interactions in CRM
  • Track orders, follow-ups, and opportunities through the sales cycle

Call Quality & Professionalism

  • Deliver a high-quality customer experience aligned with WorkWise standards
  • Follow call scripts and procedures while maintaining a natural, conversational tone
  • Adhere to compliance messaging and product accuracy at all times

Continuous Improvement

  • Participate in coaching sessions, training, and team meetings
  • Apply feedback to improve performance and close rates
  • Stay informed on product updates and compliance changes

Qualifications and Skills

Education and Experience:

  • 1–3 years of sales experience, preferably in telesales or inside sales
  • Experience in B2B sales, compliance, or subscription services is a plus
  • High school diploma required; college degree preferred

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Frequent use of a headset for extended phone-based communication
  • Ability to engage in continuous verbal communication throughout the workday
  • Visual ability to monitor screens, review data, and input information
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume call environment
