Compounding Pharmacy Technician

We’re looking for someone who already has at least 1 year of hands-on compounding experience and wants to keep growing.
What you’ll do
You’ll be a key part of our production and quality workflow, including:
- Prepare non-sterile compounded medications (including but not limited to - creams,ointments,gels, capsules, oral suspensions, troches,suppositories,etc)
- Accurately weigh, measure, and compound ingredients using master formulations and batch records
- Perform calculations for quantities, concentrations, and batch scaling
- Follow USP <795> standards and internal SOPs (and USP <800> processes if handling hazardous ingredients)
- Label, package, and assist with final prep for dispensing (under pharmacist supervision)
- Maintain a clean and organized compounding area (daily/weekly cleaning logs, equipment upkeep)
- Support inventory management (ordering, receiving, stocking, lot tracking, expirations, recalls as needed)
- Document clearly: batch logs, temperature logs, cleaning logs, beyond-use dating support, and any variances
- Work closely with pharmacists and the team to keep production moving while staying detail-focused
What we’re looking for
Required
- 1+ year of compounding experience (preferred)
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong math skills (ratios, concentrations, conversions, scaling)
- Consistent attention to detail and comfort following strict procedures
Preferred
- PTCB certification (CPhT) or state registration (based on Florida requirements for your setting)
- Experience with formulation variety of routes and bases and common compounding equipment (balances, ointment mill, Maz Mixer, capsule machine, etc.)
- Familiarity with quality documentation and compliance standards (USP <795>/<800>, internal audits)

- Work moves efficiently without cutting corners
- You communicate early when something looks off (formula questions, ingredient concerns, equipment issues)
Physical / work environment
- Standing for extended periods, repetitive motions, lifting typical pharmacy supply weights
- PPE use based on ingredients being handled
