The Opportunity:

We are seeking a hands-on Comptroller to manage the full spectrum of internal financial operations across our family of companies. This is a high-impact role where you’ll keep our books accurate, ensure compliance, support strategic decisions, and help drive long-term growth. You’ll work closely with the owners and a small, dedicated team in our Fort Myers office.

Key Responsibilities (full detailed list available upon request)

  • Full-cycle accounting, financial statement preparation, adjusting journal entries (AJEs), reconciliations, and reporting for multiple entities.
  • Payroll processing, PTO management, tax reporting (sales, payroll, 1099s), and compliance (DOL/IRS).
  • Accounts payable/receivable, cash management, and commission calculations.
  • HR guidance, onboarding, vendor management, and support for licenses/registrations.

You’ll handle a mix of routine and complex tasks across our primary operating companies and lower-activity entities.

What You Bring:

  • 5+ years of full-cycle accounting experience in a multi-entity environment (financial services or professional services preferred).
  • Strong proficiency in Excel, Word, Adobe, QuickBooks Online (QBO/QBOA), and general accounting software.
  • Solid knowledge of GAAP, payroll, tax compliance, and adjusting entries.
  • Technology-savvy, highly organized, and able to work independently while managing multiple priorities.
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, problem-solving mindset.

Preferred (not required):

CPA, experience in financial services, or advanced HR/compliance knowledge.

Work Hours & Benefits

  • Full-time, Monday–Friday (core hours 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM) with flexibility as needed.
  • Competitive base salary $85,000 – $95,000 depending on experience.
