THE BUSINESS

THE ROLE
-
Produce precision-engineered components from technical drawings using Puma CNC turning machines

Program, set, and operate CNC lathes (Fanuc controls) to achieve accurate and consistent results

Work to tight tolerances (up to 0.02mm) while maintaining high quality standards

Deliver components within agreed production deadlines

Ensure all machining activities comply with company procedures and British Standards

Contribute to continuous improvement in safety, quality, and efficiency

Support wider teams in fault finding and resolving production or engineering issues

Work collaboratively within a small, skilled machine shop handling a varied workload
THE PERSON
-
Time-served CNC machinist with strong turning experience
-
Proven experience with Fanuc programming (essential)

Experience operating Puma CNC machines is advantageous
-
Able to read and interpret detailed engineering drawings
-
Confident working in both metric and imperial measurements
-
High attention to detail with a commitment to quality workmanship

Reliable, punctual, and flexible in approach to work

Team player with a proactive attitude and strong work ethic
