Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Computer Teacher to join our faculty at Dr. D Y Patil Public School, Vita. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching students about computer science, technology, and digital skills. The Computer Teacher will be responsible for creating a stimulating learning environment, delivering an engaging curriculum, and preparing students for a tech-driven world.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teaching and Curriculum Development:
• Plan and deliver computer lessons for students across various grades, adhering to the school's curriculum.
• Teach computer basics, programming languages, hardware concepts, and software applications.
• Introduce students to emerging technologies like AI, robotics, coding, and cybersecurity.
• Skill Development:
• Train students in essential digital skills such as typing, word processing, spreadsheets, and presentations.
• Encourage creativity by teaching multimedia skills like graphic design, video editing, and web development.
• Prepare students for IT competitions and certifications.
• Technology Integration:
• Incorporate technology into classroom teaching to make lessons interactive and engaging.
• Guide students on the ethical use of technology, internet safety, and digital citizenship.
• Assist in integrating technology into other subjects and school events.
• Administrative Duties:
• Maintain records of student progress, assessments, and attendance.
• Ensure proper use and maintenance of computer lab equipment and software.
• Keep track of software licenses and report any technical issues to the IT department.
• Collaboration and Professional Development:
• Work closely with other teachers to integrate technology into the overall curriculum.
• Stay updated on new teaching methodologies and advancements in technology.
• Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and school activities.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Teaching certification or diploma in Education (preferred).
• Prior teaching experience in a school or similar setting is a plus.
• Proficiency in programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, C++) and software applications.
• Knowledge of educational tools and platforms like Google Workspace, MS Office, and EdTech tools.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
