Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Computer Teacher to inspire and educate students in the fundamentals and advanced concepts of computer science and technology. This role offers an exciting opportunity to develop engaging curricula, utilize innovative learning technologies, and foster a positive learning environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in classroom management, lesson planning, and working with diverse student populations, including those with special needs or disabilities. As a Computer Teacher, you will play a vital role in nurturing digital literacy, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills among students of various ages.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement comprehensive computer science curricula aligned with educational standards and tailored to different age groups and learning needs
  • Develop engaging lesson plans that incorporate modern learning technology, including Learning Management Systems (LMS), educational software, and interactive tools
  • Manage classroom environments effectively to promote positive behavior, participation, and inclusive learning experiences
  • Assess student progress through formative and summative evaluations, including standardized testing and project-based assessments
  • Provide individualized tutoring and support for students requiring additional help, including those with disabilities or special education needs
  • Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, classroom activities, and school-wide technology initiatives
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance, performance, and behavioral reports while ensuring compliance with privacy policies

Qualifications

  • Proven experience teaching computer science or related subjects in a classroom setting; private school or Montessori experience is a plus
  • Strong knowledge of curriculum development, lesson planning, literacy education, math integration, and behavior management strategies
  • Familiarity with LMS platforms, learning technology tools, and digital resources for effective instruction
  • Experience working with children with disabilities or special education needs; understanding of childhood development principles is essential
  • Excellent communication skills to engage students, parents, and colleagues effectively
  • Ability to manage classrooms confidently while fostering an inclusive environment that encourages curiosity and innovation
  • Demonstrated skills in standardized testing preparation, tutoring techniques, and library or educational resource management
