Job Summary/Scope
The Computer Technician is responsible for ensuring the security, reliability, and efficiency of the organization’s technology systems by maintaining regulatory compliance, providing daily technical support, and managing hardware, software, and network infrastructure. This includes real-time troubleshooting, after-hours assistance, asset lifecycle management, user account configuration, and documentation of IT activities.
Essential Functions
1. Maintain compliance with federal, state, and partner regulations/guidelines concerning information technology and IT security.
2. Daily operational support for technical system problems, both software and hardware
3. Assist with after-hours and weekend troubleshooting/help desk issues.
4. Maintain computers, phones, broadband devices, and other associated technological equipment for speed, dependability, accessibility, and security.
5. Provide real-time support for user hardware and software needs.
6. Document activities, progress, and issue status in IT support software.
7. Utilize independent judgment, analytical, and problem-solving skills to address support issues.
8. Analyze computer hardware problems, services, and order replacement parts as necessary.
9. Ensure purchases of software and equipment follow the approval procedure and are within budgetary allotment.
10. Perform asset and lifestyle management of workstations, software installation/configuration of IT equipment replacements, and track and validate the current state of assets.
11. Install software, demonstrating its operational usage and troubleshooting when users are faced with problems.
12. Responsible for setup and problem-solving of computer network systems, cabling, and wireless networks.
13. Configure new user and deactivation of accounts through business collaboration software, keycard access, and associated role software (i.e., iTransplant, TransNet, etc.).
14. Ensure proper setup of equipment for web conferences and other events that use computers and their peripherals.
15. Service and maintain computer-related peripherals such as printers, projectors, web cameras, and scanners.
16. Ensure the MIS is aware of the status and issues regarding hardware and software systems.
17. Assist MIS regarding hardware and software systems as directed.
18. Responsible for ensuring backup of all computer files, including facilitating the monthly verification of data recovery and documenting results.
19. Create training and work instructions for users for applications, databases, and various IT procedures.
Secondary Functions
1. Assist with the ITM inventory destruction according to the IT destruction schedule.
2. Network administration for Active Directory, as well as site administrator for third-party vendors.
3. Maintains new user setup of the SharePoint portal.
4. Assist with the creation and monitoring of departmental goals and key performance indicators.

2. Complete and maintain appropriate documentation in a timely and thorough manner, including activities. Examples include training documentation, mileage, expenses, electronic schedule of SLL events, and other forms.

1. Risk Exposure to Blood/Body Fluids: While performing some essential functions of your position, you may be exposed to blood or body fluids. Established procedures identify the appropriate personal protective measures that you should use when performing essential functions of your position. Work Environment
1. Works in a normal office environment.
2. Works in various locations, including normal office environment, operating room, hospital environment, and other locations as essential and secondary functions necessitate.
3. Required to carry a cellular telephone for business purposes.
4. Occasional travel is required by personal vehicle to fulfill the duties and responsibilities of the position.
5. May require travel by commercial or chartered aircraft.
6. Non-smoking office.
Work Hours
Infrequent travel, some overnight. Forty-hour workweek with occasional weekends, holidays, or evenings.
Minimum Job Requirements
1. Associate's degree in information technology and/or equivalent technical certifications required.
2. Minimum of two years progressive work experience in information/systems technology
3. Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office Products and Internet Browsers
4. Structured Query Language (SQL) server experience, preferred
5. Network and database site administration skills preferred
6. SharePoint Portal experience preferred
7. Maintain a valid driver’s license, reliable automobile, and proof of automobile insurance
8. Consistent demonstration of attention to detail, precision, accuracy, and customer satisfaction.
9. Possess strong prioritization skills and the ability to effectively manage multiple projects and tasks.
10. Ability to utilize general office equipment, software, and must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

This position is responsible for requesting, managing, and storing confidential records and ensuring that information is protected, handled discreetly and professionally, according to recognized standards, regulations, and standards for maintaining patient, financial, and employment records.
Pay: $49,500.00 - $61,450.00 per year
