POSITION: Computer Technician

LOCATION: Benton Administration Office

HOURS: 8:00am - 4:30pm Full-Time

VACANCY NOTICE: 05/08/2026

SALARY: $ 19.09 per Hour

JOB DUTIES:

Install and configure computer/printer and configure to networks connections.

Install software packaging such as operating systems, word processing or spreadsheet programs.

Installs and maintains agency security camera systems and wiring.

Maintains LAN, WLAN, and WAN accessibility

Assists in managing network compliance

Installs and maintains cabling for network connections

Assist users in use of equipment, software and manuals.

Analyze and resolve user problems related to work stations and/or telephone systems.

Monitor and analyze user technology issues through telephone/email/ticketing platforms

Perform routine maintenance on agency operating systems.

Maintains and is knowledgeable about IT related technical documents.

Assists in maintaining accurate agency inventories.

Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: One-year certificate from college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience preferred.

EXPERIENCE NEEDED: Excellent computer, oral / written communication, customer service, and organizational skills required. Must have time management /multi-tasking skills, be a self-starter with the ability to work independently in a fast paced environment.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Pre-Employment Drug Screening and Criminal Background Check. Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 25 lbs and occasionally up to 50 lbs. Must be willing to travel over the Agency’s (19) nineteen county service area, agency vehicle available. Ability to climb ladders and work in elevated/tight spaces.
