Computer User Support Specialist, Journeyman
StraCon Services Group, LLC is seeking a Computer User Support Specialist, Journeyman in Patuxent River MD . The Computer User Support Specialist, Journeyman will be responsible for but no limited to the following requirements.
Essential Job Duties:
- Manage NALCOMIS Optimized Organizational Maintenance Activity Server and perform Database Administration actions
- Directly support the Aircraft Maintenance Device, Portable Electronic Maintenance Aid, NALCOMIS OOMA and other ALE related systems
- Assist with Data management processes and procedures as related to the NAVAIR ALE Architecture
- Assist with ACAS Scans, STIG checks and implementation, patching, re-imaging, policy writing
- Assist in coordination between Software Support Activity and Support Equipment activities
- Assist in asset delegation and software transition, for new asset requests and tech refreshes
- Monitor and submit for the addition or removal of services
- Assist users with Data management
- Perform system analysis for overall seat health
- Support users in the performing daily functions when issues arise
- Troubleshoot computer hardware and software related issues
- Maintain a working asset inventory
- Establish working relations with management and users
- Work with a community of POC's to find solutions to on-going, current issues impacting users.

- None.
Experience Requirements:
- 3 to 10 years of experience performing duties described in the functional description.
Desired Experience:
- At least 3 years of experience using NALCOMIS OOMA
- Experience in COMNAVAIRFOR Inst 4790.2 series related maintenance processes
- Knowledge of performing monitoring and tuning, upgrades and patching, backup and recovery, as well as troubleshooting and problem resolution
- Experience with NALCOMIS OOMA; Certified as a SA/DBA preferred
- CompTIA Security+ certification desired.
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree Preferred.
- AA/AS degree Plus 2 additional years of experience.
- Allowable Substitution:
- Two (2) years additional work experience performing duties described in the functional description of the labor category may be substituted for an Associate’s Degree.
