Computer Vision Engineer (Software/Algorithm)

Job Summary:

We seek an AI expert to enhance our technological capabilities with a focus on developing and optimizing computer vision and ML algorithms for applications in automatic target recognition, detection, classification, sensor fusion and predictive analysis. The ideal candidate should have experience in machine learning, AI, and preferably sensor fusion with practical knowledge in image processing, feature extraction, and real-time edge computing and AI model deployments.

Key Accountabilities:

Computer Vision & Image Processing:

· Experience in developing computer vision algorithms for automatic target recognition (ATR), detection, classification, and segmentation tasks

· Familiarity with tracking algorithms such as correlation and deep learning trackers

· Knowledge of SLAM and Visual Odometry algorithms preferred

· Experience with feature matching, optical flow, homography, and warping techniques

· Background in image processing algorithms for restoration and denoising

· Understanding of feature extraction methods and pattern recognition techniques

· Knowledge of speed and depth estimation techniques preferred

Edge Computing & Optimization:

· Experience developing AI models for real-time applications, preferably with edge computing platforms like NVIDIA chips and FPGA

· Familiarity with optimization techniques, parallel computing, GPU acceleration, and distributed computing

· Experience with inference engines for model optimization preferred

· Knowledge of ONNX for model interoperability across different frameworks

Sensor Fusion & Advanced Technologies:

· Understanding of sensor fusion techniques preferred, including multimodal systems, lidar, radar and camera fusion

· Experience with synthetic data generation, 3D modeling, simulation environments preferred

· Familiarity with generative AI models (GANs, VAEs, etc.) is a plus

· Knowledge of data augmentation techniques and data security practices

Machine Learning & Deep Learning:

· Strong background in CNNs, RNNs, LSTMs, and familiarity with Explainable AI

· Experience with Vision transformers and attention mechanisms preferred

· Knowledge of NVIDIA DeepStream for video analytics is a plus

· Understanding of 3D reconstruction techniques (stereo vision, SfM, photogrammetry) preferred

· Familiarity with VISNIR, MWIR, and SWIR imaging technologies is advantageous

Technical Skills:

· Proficiency in Linux environments for development and deployment

· Strong programming skills in Python, C/C++ knowledge preferred

· Experience with frameworks like TensorFlow, Keras, PyTorch and others

· Familiarity with Docker containers for application deployment

· Understanding of benchmarking techniques for algorithm evaluation

Experience & Education Qualifications:

Required:

· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field

· Demonstrated experience in ML, CV, and AI solutions development

· Proficiency in Python and familiarity with at least one deep learning framework (TensorFlow, Keras, or PyTorch)

Preferred:

· Experience with edge computing platforms and optimization techniques

· Background in sensor fusion techniques, synthetic data generation, and data handling

· Military Industrial experience with real-world application deployments

· C/C++ and Python programming experience

· Experience with specialized imaging technologies and 3D reconstruction methods
