Concept Designer – Events Industry

Job Summary:

We are looking for a creative and strategic Concept Designer to join our team in the events industry. This role is perfect for someone who can transform client inquiries into compelling event storylines, initial sketches, and design directions that capture the essence of the brand and occasion. You’ll be the creative visionary shaping the early stages of every project.

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate with clients and internal teams to understand event objectives, target audience, and brand identity.

Translate client briefs into imaginative, cohesive event storylines and creative concepts.

Develop mood boards, initial design sketches, and concept decks to visually represent ideas.

Create and present design directions for internal approval and client pitch decks.

Work with 3D designers, graphic designers, and production teams to align on the creative vision.

Stay updated with global design, art, and technology trends in the events and experiential space.

Maintain creative consistency across all elements of the event, from invitations to staging and decor.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Event Design, Interior Design, Graphic Design, Fine Arts, or a related field.

Minimum 3-5 years of experience in event design, creative direction, or concept development (agency or freelance experience welcome).

Strong portfolio showcasing event concepts, sketches, mood boards, and design decks.

Proficient in tools like Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), Canva, and basic sketching (digital or hand-drawn).

Understanding of event production processes, materials, and staging is a plus.

Experience with 3D design tools (e.g., SketchUp, Rhino, Vectorworks) is a bonus.
