Concept Mechanical Design Engineer

The Fountain Group is currently seeking a --------Concept Mechanical Design Engineer for a prominent client of ours. This position is located in --San Francisco, CA. Details for the position are as follows:

Pay Range: $50 - 103.45+/hr depending on experience

Contract: 4 months with possible extension and/or conversion

100% onsite in San Francisco, CA

Job Description:

• Invent, prototype, and validate new mechanical systems that push the boundaries of delivery automation.
• Work hands-on—from CAD and simulation to shop-floor builds—to rapidly prove what’s possible. Your work won’t just stay in the lab: the concepts you create will influence future platforms at scale.
• Invent, prototype, and test mechanical systems, structures, and mechanisms including CAD modeling and documentation.
• Rapidly determine if an idea is technically viable within business constraints.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional production teams including electrical, software, and systems engineers to ensure seamless integration of mechanical designs.
• Produce prototypes, simulations, and proof-of-concept builds to test concepts and ultimately drive major architectural decisions.
  
  

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or higher required
• 5+ years of mechanical design engineering experience
