Job Title: Concessions & Bartender Associate

Position Overview

We are seeking a reliable, energetic, and customer-focused Concessions & Bartender Associate to join our team in a hockey rink environment. This role combines hospitality, food service, and bartending, supporting both daily rink operations and high-energy fast paced game nights. The ideal candidate thrives in a team setting as well as stays on task individually, enjoys engaging with customers, and can efficiently handle multiple responsibilities during busy shifts.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Service & Hospitality

• Provide friendly, attentive service to guests, players, and families
• Create a welcoming and positive atmosphere during public skate sessions and events
• Accurately take orders and handle cash/POS transactions
• Maintain professionalism during high-volume periods, including game nights

Food Preparation & Service

• Prepare and serve concessions items (e.g., snacks, hot foods, beverages)
• Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines
• Ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment
• Maintain clean and organized food prep areas

Bartending

• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages responsibly
• Verify IDs and comply with all alcohol service regulations
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area
• Monitor guest behavior to ensure a safe environment

Inventory & Stocking

• Restock food, beverages, and supplies throughout shifts
• Assist with inventory counts and tracking
• Notify management of low stock or supply needs
• Organize storage areas to maintain efficiency

Cleaning & Maintenance

• Perform light cleaning duties including wiping surfaces, sweeping, and trash removal
• Maintain cleanliness of concessions, bar, and customer areas
• Follow opening and closing cleaning procedures

Qualifications

• Previous experience in food service, concessions, or bartending preferred (but not required)
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Basic math skills for handling transactions
• Responsible, punctual, and team-oriented

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Ability to lift and carry up to 25–40 lbs (stocking supplies, kegs, etc.)
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, sometimes loud environment

Schedule

• Consistent weekly hours available
• Evening and weekend availability required
• Flexibility for additional shifts during games and events
