Concierge Care Associate - Remote NJ
Position Summary:
We are seeking a caring, dependable individual to join our growing team as a Senior Concierge Care Associate in northern and central, New Jersey. This role involves hands-on assistance with a variety of non-medical tasks including errand running, companionship, escorting clients to appointments, and accompanying our professional drivers to support clients who require extra care or mobility assistance during outings.
While we welcome all qualified applicants, we have a strong preference for individuals with a background as an Occupational Therapist (OT) or Physical Therapist (PT). This position is initially offered on a per diem basis, with the opportunity to transition into a part-time or full-time role as our business continues to expand rapidly.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide reliable companionship and social engagement
- Run errands (e.g., grocery shopping, pharmacy trips, dry cleaning)
- Accompany clients to medical and personal appointments
- Accompany drivers to assist clients with mobility or safety needs during transportation
- Assist with mobility as needed (e.g., opening/closing walkers, pushing wheelchairs)
- Support setup/breakdown of adaptive equipment to facilitate safe transfers into and out of vehicles
- Provide light household support when needed (mail pickup, light organizing)
- Communicate with family members and staff with empathy and clarity
- Maintain confidentiality and uphold the dignity of each client
- Assist with other tasks as needed
Qualifications:
- Experience working with older adults in a personal or professional setting
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to assignments
- Ability to assist with mobility devices and safely push wheelchairs when required
- Excellent communication skills and professional demeanor
- Trustworthy, punctual, and attentive to detail
- Strongly preferred: Licensed or previously licensed OT or PT, or background in eldercare, social work, or related senior-supportive roles
