Concierge/Barista/Crafter
The Perch is a place for people to come gather, connect, and stay awhile – centered around specialty coffee, specialty games, and shared experiences. The Perch is opening in Holly Springs in the summer of 2026. Our aim every day is to create an intentional space that serves lasting joy.

All our roles at The Perch prioritize authentically engaging with its guests. Our team members enjoy the moments of meeting and maintaining relationships. Our team is friendly and genuinely interested in service and teamwork.
Our Environment
Our team operates in a high-paced, but carefully crafted workflow. The pace requires the team to be constantly aware of the next best action, anticipating needs of fellow team members or guests.
Our Approach
We look for and invest in team members with a learner’s mindset. We love the curious-minded. While we are consistently adapting to guest’s needs, The Perch has specific guidelines, procedures, and rules. Coaching happens consistently.
Responsibilities
All Roles
- Dishwashing so that we have a continually safe and clean supply of dishes.
- Clean and sanitize restroom, remove trash, bus tables, and assist guests.
- Enforce health and safety state, county and local codes or policies.
- Follow, perform, promote, and proactively seek clarity on all The Perch operating procedures so that you can successfully contribute.
- Develop a shared understanding so that you can role model The Perch’s Purpose , it’s Promise to its Guests, and its Values.
Concierge
- Host each guest entering The Perch so that they feel welcomed.
- Seek out unique moments so guests feel part of The Perch.
- Take accurate orders, register operations and payment processing.
- Learn, know, and be able to effectively share the coffee selections (origin, expression, and intention) so that you can better guide guests.
- Learn, know, and be able to effectively share game selections (style, mechanics, and duration) so that you can better guide guests.
- Maintain the drip brew-bar coffee offerings so that coffee is always fresh.
- Stock and assort swag, snacks, games, and other merchandise.
- Serve drip coffee, pastries, teas, prep food and bar stagings so that guests can receive their orders timely.
- Host guests in the game arena, providing service or taking new orders.
- Stage games for the library so that they are ready for the next guests.
- Bus, clean, and stage the café, game arena and all workstations so that we maintain a clean and safe space.
Barista
- Interact with guests you are serving so that they feel welcomed.
- Craft and serve espresso-based and adjacent beverages adhering to The Perch's recipe and quality standards to deliver a consistent experience.
- Taste all espressos throughout service so that all coffees are delivered according to their flavor.
- Seek out unique moments so guests feel part of The Perch.
- Learn, know, and be able to effectively share the coffee selections (origin, expression, and intention) so that you can better guide guests.
- Maintain a clean espresso brew-bar regardless of time or pace of the day.
- Proactively ask for help from other team members when in need.
Crafter (Food Handler)
- Interact with guests you are serving so that they feel welcomed.
- Accurately craft delicious dishes adhering to The Perch’s recipe and quality standards so that we can deliver an experience that consistently resonates.
- Plate dishes with speed and intentionality so that it delights the guest.
- Learn food allergies and seasonal ingredients so that you can guide guests.
- Effectively use kitchen tools so that we maintain a safe and healthy space.
- Stage games for the library so that they are ready for the next guests.
- Bus, clean, and stage the café, game arena and all workstations so that we maintain a clean and safe space.
- Stock and assort swag, snacks, games, and other merchandise.
- Serve drip coffee, pastries, teas, prep food and bar stagings so that guests can receive their orders timely.
Qualifications
- 19-years of age or older.
- Ability to work at least three days per week on any shift and one of which is a weekend. Opening and closing shifts start/end after operating hours.
- Authentic desire to intentionally engage and be present with people.
- Passion for collaborating and contributing to high-paced teamwork.
- A curious outlook with a willingness to receive feedback.
- Possess strong attention-to-detail, organizational, retention and problem-solving skills even while working at a fast pace.
- A strong sense of integrity, a learner’s mindset, and reliability.
- Knowledge and practice of food safety to safely serve our guests and possess or could obtain a food handler’s certification.
- Stamina for long shifts and ability to lift 25 pounds.
- Authentic motivation to lean-in, aim high, and make each moment great!
Hours: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $10.25 - $13.25/hr. + tips
