Concrete Estimator

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Concrete Construction Estimator to prepare accurate and competitive estimates for concrete projects. This position focuses exclusively on concrete scopes including foundations, slabs, flatwork, structural concrete, footings, and rebar.

The ideal candidate understands concrete production rates, forming systems, reinforcement, finishing processes, and real-world jobsite execution. This role requires strong analytical skills and the ability to build complete, detailed bids from start to finish.

Bilingual (Spanish or Portuguese) preferred due to coordination with field crews.

Responsibilities:

• Review plans, specifications, and bid documents
• Perform detailed quantity takeoffs for all concrete scopes
• Estimate labor, materials, equipment, forming systems, and reinforcement
• Solicit and analyze supplier and subcontractor quotes
• Prepare accurate and competitive bid proposals
• Identify scope gaps, risks, and cost-saving opportunities
• Coordinate with project managers and field supervisors
• Assist with budgeting, value engineering, and change orders

Requirements:

• 3+ years of construction experience focused on concrete work & estimating
• Strong knowledge of foundations, slabs, structural concrete, and rebar placement
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
• Proficiency with estimating software (Planswift) and Microsoft Excel
• Strong analytical and organizational skills

Preferred:

• Bilingual (Spanish or Portuguese)
• Experience in estimating commercial concrete projects
• Knowledge of local labor and material pricing

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
