Concrete Finisher

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Concrete Finisher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in concrete finishing and a strong understanding of construction processes. This role involves working on various construction projects, ensuring high-quality finishes and adherence to project specifications. The Concrete Finisher will collaborate closely with other tradespeople and contribute to the successful completion of projects.

Duties

• Prepare surfaces for concrete pouring by cleaning and leveling the area.
• Operate concrete mixers and other machinery to mix and pour concrete.
• Form, pour, and finish concrete structures including sidewalks, driveways, and foundations.
• Install rebar and other reinforcements as required for structural integrity.
• Read blueprints and schematics to ensure accurate execution of designs.
• Use hand tools and power tools effectively for shaping, smoothing, and finishing concrete surfaces.
• Perform heavy lifting as needed during the construction process.
• Collaborate with team members on-site to ensure safety and efficiency in all operations.
• Maintain a clean work environment and adhere to safety protocols at all times.

Skills

• Strong mechanical knowledge related to construction equipment and tools.
• Proficiency in construction estimating and planning for materials needed for projects.
• Experience with hardscape installation, including patios, walkways, and retaining walls.
• Familiarity with concrete forming techniques and finishing processes.
• Knowledge of plastering, stucco application, and masonry work is a plus.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately.
• Competence in carpentry skills including frame carpentry, trim carpentry, and metal stud framing.
• Experience with heavy equipment operation is beneficial for site management tasks.
• Skills in flooring installation, tile laying, caulking, restoration work, and renovation projects are advantageous.
