Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Concrete Finisher Form Setter to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up and finishing concrete. Forms that shape the foundation, walls, side walks, driveways and other structural elements of various construction projects. Your expertise in concrete forming, finishing, and related trades will be essential to ensure high-quality results that meet project specifications and safety standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, from commercial buildings to renovation sites, utilizing your technical skills and hands-on experience.
Duties
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to accurately set up concrete forms according to project requirements.
- Install rebar reinforcement and ensure proper placement for structural integrity before pouring concrete.
- Operate power tools, hand tools, heavy equipment, and concrete mixers safely and efficiently during form setting and finishing processes.
- Prepare form work using carpentry, metal stud framing, or masonry techniques, ensuring stability and precision.
- Conduct quality inspections of finished surfaces, perform repairs or touch-ups as needed, and maintain a clean work environment throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction site work with a focus on concrete forming, finishing, or related trades such as masonry or carpentry.
- Strong mechanical knowledge of tools, power equipment, heavy lifting techniques, and safety protocols on construction sites.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately; familiarity with schematics related to concrete pumping or form layouts is a plus.
- Knowledge of rebar installation, metal stud framing, stucco application, tile laying, flooring installation or restoration work is advantageous.
- Skilled in the use of hand tools such as hammers, saws, trowels; power tools including drills and mixers; heavy equipment operation including forklifts or cranes preferred.
- Physical stamina for heavy lifting and prolonged periods of standing; capable of working in various weather conditions.
- Valid driver’s license for commercial driving if required; experience operating concrete pumps or other specialized machinery is beneficial. Pay: $27.00 - $33.00 per hour
