Join our dynamic construction team as a Concrete Finisher Laborer and play a vital role in transforming blueprints into durable, high-quality concrete structures. Responsibilities
- Prepare and set up forms, rebar, and reinforcement materials according to blueprints and schematics for concrete placement.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment such as concrete mixers and pumps to pour, spread, and level concrete.
- Finish concrete surfaces using trowels, floats, and other finishing tools to achieve smoothness and desired textures.
- Install rebar and metal studs securely in accordance with construction plans to reinforce concrete structures.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure precise execution of tasks.
- Perform heavy lifting of materials and equipment safely while maintaining efficiency on the job site.
- Assist with related tasks such as caulking, stucco application, flooring installation, tile laying, masonry work, or roofing as needed for comprehensive project completion.
Experience
- Prior construction site experience with a focus on concrete finishing or related trades such as carpentry or masonry.
- Knowledge of construction estimating processes and ability to read blueprints or schematics accurately.
- Familiarity with heavy equipment operation including concrete pumps or mixers is preferred.
- Hands-on experience with rebar installation, form setting, plastering, restoration work, or metal stud framing is highly desirable.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently in various weather conditions.
- Strong understanding of construction safety protocols and the use of hand tools and power tools.
- Certification or experience in welding, flooring installation, tile laying or roofing is a plus but not required.
